Encrypt your email. Encrypting your private email is the most effective approach to protect it from being read by others who do not have permission to see it as well as hackers.
Your private email is protected from prying eyes by the use of encryption, which scrambles your communications and makes it difficult to decrypt them unless you give specific permission to another party to do so.
Send an encrypted email. The use of end-to-end encryption is the most confidential and safe method for sending sensitive information over email. Only the receiver of your communications and you will be able to read them if you use end-to-end encryption.
1 Go to your mailbox.
2 Click on Compose button.
3 Click the "Turn on confidential mode" button that's located in the lower right corner of the window.
4 If you have previously set an email to be confidential, you may edit it by scrolling down to the bottom of the message and clicking the Edit button.
5 Then set an expiry date and passcode.
6 Then click on the Save button.
